After rearranging our wedding three times due to the pandemic, we finally decided on a smaller affair and to do something local.
From the get go Josh, Becky and the team and 'Pickled Pumpkin' could not have been more accommodating.
They really were all in on the vision of our wedding, despite only having about four weeks to prepare, they rode the wave with us!
When we first met with Josh at the Pavilion, he was friendly, outgoing and listened to every part of my vision (if you know me, I can be a bit eclectic!) which ticked all our boxes.
He then went away to see just what they could do for us – and wow, they out did whatever we thought could be completed in that space of time!
For us, the biggest thing was to have great food. We had already scaled down on every part of the wedding so wanted to ensure any guests that did attend, were very well fed!
Along with Josh, we created the perfect menu, all top ingredients and of what I would class of Micheline star quality – our guests agreed!
Nothing was too much for them, room design, menu collaboration, tasting, drinks menu... you name it, Josh and Becky were happy to be involved and support.
A week before the wedding the government announced a ban on alcohol but Josh and his team did not let that get in the way. Instead they created bespoke, non-alcoholic cocktails and ensured the ‘no-secco’ was flowing!
The service, the food and the room blew us away. We didn’t choose this venue for the ‘look’; we chose it for the ‘feel’ that Josh gave us. Although once decorated, the room looked beautiful and was the perfect venue for such an intimate day.
I cannot thank Josh and Becky enough for all the support they gave us in the run up and for the day they helped create. It was not what we had planned 2 years prior but it really was the perfect day for us.
Since our wedding, many of the guests along with us have had food from 'Pickled Pumpkin' and the same great quality and service which we have grown to love has always been there.
